Flow Tech’s Careers in Construction
When asked to envision careers in construction, images of orange vests, bull dozers and blueprints probably enter most minds. Those more closely aligned with the industry may think of the designers behind construction like an architect or engineer. What many don’t envision is a lawyer specializing in construction law, or an accountant finding his/her groove with clients in construction. These aren’t your ‘typical’ careers in construction but they’re still career paths centered around this industry nonetheless.
That’s what today’s post will highlight – the lesser known careers in construction. Flow Tech’s careers in construction to be exact. Because who thinks about a sales engineer, marketer or HVAC field technician when they think of construction careers? Hopefully you will after today.

Those of you familiar with Flow Tech know we’re a manufacturer’s representative of applied and engineered HVAC equipment and systems. We’re authorized to sell specific products and systems within a geographical area based on the agreement we’ve come to with each of our manufacturers. To accommodate this model we’ve organized our company into three segments: sales, service and support.

Sales
The equipment we represent is very technical, and typically not something we can sell off the shelf. Most of our systems are customized per application and facility. Therefore, we need intelligent, technical professionals selling these systems. We’re happy to employ 9 sales professionals who either have an engineering degree/background or have extensive experience in technical sales. Are you someone who understands complex concepts and enjoys helping others solve problems? Maybe a Flow Tech Sales Engineer career is right for you. We’re currently looking for an experience sales rep to join our team. Learn more here.

Service
After our equipment and systems have been ordered, manufactured and sent to the job site it is time to install, startup and eventually service them. That’s where our team of exceptional field service technicians come in. They’re our ‘boots on the ground’ and they’re essential to our operations.

Our service techs are the last point of contact with our customers regardless of the circumstance. Sometimes their customer visits are for routine preventative maintenance while other times they can be answering an emergency call because a hospital’s operating room air-handler is no longer functioning. Whatever the issue, it’s their training, their time and their recommendations to the customer that allow us to maintain our customer-focused reputation within the industry.

Support
Our sales and service teams could not function as effectively and efficiently without the help of our support team. Flow Tech’s support team consists of accounting, marketing and sales applications engineers. From invoicing jobs and promoting new product technology to generating quotes and completing project takeoffs, our support team helps in any way they can to keep Flow Tech successful. Interested in joining Flow Tech’s support group? We’re now recruiting for a summer 2021 sales applications engineer intern.

Flow Tech is a small but mighty organization. If you’re ready to work hard, contribute to a dynamic team, and improve the comfort and safety of facilities, all while having a little fun – then Flow Tech’s careers in construction might be right for you!
