Flow Tech’s Director of Marketing Gains National Recognition as Outstanding Woman in Construction
Flow Tech, Inc. is proud to announce Nichole Petersen, their Director of Marketing Director, has been selected as one of the 40 Outstanding Women in Construction under age 40 by the national organization, Professional Women in Construction (PWC)!
Every year, PWC recognizes 20 women under 40 from their founding Chapter, New York. This year, in conjunction with their 40th Anniversary, PWC invited all Chapters to submit nominations, and increased the number of honorees from 20 to 40. Honorees were chosen by a selection committee, which included representation from each Chapter, Boston, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia.
With a record number of nominations, the 2020 list brings the organization together during a year of uncertainty and challenges, to recognize the outstanding women who have shown commitment to the architecture, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry across all PWC Chapters.
Nichole is proud of this recognition, and she is happy to share this honor with fellow outstanding, Connecticut women, Kristen DiLoreto of Moser Pilon Architects, LLC, Samantha VanSchoick of CIL, and Alicia Washington of HRP Associates. They will be honored alongside the other 40 Under 40 recipients during the PWC’s 40th Anniversary Celebration. The virtual celebration will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and is a black-tie event. Aside from the awards portion, the event will also include networking, breakout rooms, and entertainment.
About Nichole Petersen
As Director of Marketing, Nichole is responsible for leading Flow Tech’s marketing and communication initiatives including, marketing planning and strategy, content management and creation, website maintenance, digital marketing, event and technical training management, as well as, college recruitment and business development. Nichole also assists with the project management of Aircuity annual service agreements.
Since entering the A/E/C industry in 2013, Nichole has become an active member, volunteer and leader of several industry organizations. Nichole is a past board member and the current communications committee chair of the PWC CT. Nichole contributed to CT ASHRAE as a past board member and receptionist. For the CBC, she is a past marketing committee member, and currently serves on their golf committee. Nichole is also the immediate past president of SMPS CT and is the current leadership committee chair and member of the programs committee. Her past SMPS CT roles include Chapter president, secretary and sponsorship committee chair. She was also the 2014-2015 SMPS CT Grace Waldvogel Member of the Year.
Prior to Flow Tech and A/E/C, Nichole started her marketing career at ESAPCO where she led their ClearSpan division marketing and event management. Nichole graduated from Johnson and Wales University with an AS in Advertising Communications and a BS in Marketing Communications.

Nichole joined Flow Tech in 2013 as Director of Marketing. She leads our marketing communication initiatives including content marketing development, coordinating events and training, maintaining our digital presence and recruiting, as well as, some business development and office support. Nichole resides in Vernon with her husband Brian and two sons. She enjoys hosting parties, cooking and lounging on the beach.
