Flow Tech’s Service Department Delivers Support with a Smile

One of the benefits of working with a full-service manufacturer’s representative like Flow Tech, Inc. is just that – full service. At Flow Tech, we’re driven by our three uniques:

  1. Easy
  2. Value
  3. Support

We make your life easy, provide the highest total value (lowest total cost) and support everything we sell. Part of supporting what we sell is offering service to give peace of mind to our customers that their products and systems are going to work when they need them to.

Flow Tech has nine service technicians patrolling New England. We offer everything from ABB variable frequency drive (VFD) startup to AHU installation supervision. Often our technicians will wire fume hood controllers onto fume hoods and commission an entire Phoenix or Aircuity system. We will verify a fume hood to ensure it is operating safely (even if it does not have our controls on it!). Not only will we start VFDs, but we’ll replace them too! Our dedicated team of technicians backed up by our outstanding team service coordinator, project manager and design engineer ensure every Flow Tech project is executed and completed to the satisfaction of our customer.

Service Offerings

Our service department ensures your system is properly documented, installed, commissioned, supported and serviced. We’re proud to offer the following:

24/7, On-call Service

Many of the facilities we support house critical applications such as operating rooms or laboratories, which can’t afford down time. When urgent support is needed, we’re happy to provide on-call service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Preventative Maintenance

Some of our engineered equipment requires routine service visits to maintain efficiency and effectiveness. Our service technicians will service your systems in a professional and timely manner.

If purchasing new equipment isn’t in the budget or a portion of the original system is still in good working order, we’re happy to provide our retrofitting services.

Startup by the factory or an authorized dealer is often required for technical systems. Flow Tech sponsors our service team to become authorized startup technicians. Having an authorized technician perform a startup often provides and longer factory warranty.

Product and Equipment Inventory

We stock ABB variable frequency drives, up to 200 horsepower, for HVAC and water/wastewater applications. If you’re in urgent need of a retrofit or a replacement of an ABB or other brand of drive, we can respond immediately.

  • Owner’s Training – once our equipment is installed we can provide training on the proper use and maintenance of your new system.
  • Demo Lab Tours – visit our demo lab to view a working example of how our equipment and systems integrate with each other and improve the comfort and safety of facilities while providing energy savings.
  • Drive Expert Training – we offer Drive Expert training for mechanical contractors and end-user facilities or maintenance customers who want to gain general knowledge about their ABB variable frequency drives.
  • Lunch and Learns – although our service department does not facilitate lunch and learn presentations, then can connect you with the appropriate sales engineer who can!
